Training: She trained in acting at Acting Studio Chicago and The Vagabond School of Arts. She studied improvisation at The Second City Training Center, the iO Theater Chicago, and One Group Mind. She studied/studying VO under: Pat Fraley, Deb Doetzer, Cedering Fox, Donovan Weyland, Nancy Wolfson, JoBe Cerny, Darren Stephens, Bill Holmes, Kordt Larsen, and Kathy Keyes. She studied Jazz singing with Elaine Dame.

STORY In 2012, she was the winner of the That's Voiceover NBC Spotlight Audition. She was prized her sweetheart Neumann, who has been her rock through auditions and jobs. Still feels like the first time, every time. Clients include McDonald's, Fifth-Third Bank, Nature Valley, Target, and Botox. Her VO background is in radio & tv commercials, industrials & e-Learning videos, internal/testing demos, live announcing, independent animation videos, and comedy web sketches.
Notable e-Learning Narration Credits: Discovery Education’s NBA Partnership for the Math Techbook series (basketball-focused math problems), McGraw Hill’s award-winning StudySync ELA Program, and Escoffier Culinary School of Arts’ online courses.
Improvisation & Comedy: Nicole has had the pleasure of performing regularly at stages in Chicago for years, including the iO Theater, The Annoyance Theater, The Second City Training Center theaters, The Laugh Factory, LOL Theater, The Comedy Clubhouse, and others. She has performed musical improv, stand-up and sketch. She is a regular cast member on the iO Comedy Network & long-form improviser at The Comedy Clubhouse. She was a co-founder of all latinx telenovela improv team Las Tinas.
Passion Project: Embracing Spanish heritage while improvising and playing make-believe is why Las Tinas is so special to my heart. We take audience suggestions and perform a fully improvised telenovela (Spanish soap opera). Las Tinas Improv has performed independently for 3+ years all over Chicago, including at the Chicago Women's Funny Festival, the Fuácata Improv Festival in Miami, and at The Laugh Factory. And thrilled to have been featured in The Chicago Sun-Times, Time Out Chicago, The Chicago Tribune, and WGN.
Education: Nicole earned her Masters in Education at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She earned her Bachelors in English at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Always likes to add "minored in Art". And proud member of the International English Honors Society (Sigma Tau Delta).
Teaching Life: Over a decade teaching experience in communities across Chicago, serving as a substitute teacher, enrichment teacher, private tutor, and as a "Teacher in the Library" with the Chicago Public Library Foundation. She works as a one-on-one writing and academic tutor.
Family: I am really close with my family! They are funny, creative, and all around great folks and artists. I perform comedy with my twin sister and my husband. My brothers create film and music and my parents will beat your parents at darts and chess.
